Use of the online service is voluntary. If you prefer you may obtain a new license or renew it in person at any DAR office.

You may also renew by mail. Contact any DAR office to have a renewal application mailed to you. If you are applying for a new or renewing the Commercial Marine License, Bait License, Commercial Aquarium Permit or Recreational Aquarium Permit, then this electronic renewal procedure requires you to provide your social security number last four digits for renewal and other personal information and complete the transaction using a credit card or checking account.

Except for the Aquaculture Facility License, either a card or license document will be mailed to you by the next three business days. Along with the fishing license, you are required to have a Wahiawa Public Fishing Area Entry Permit, which you can obtain online or at no cost from any of the locations in the "Find License Agents" section above.

License Validity Period: Licenses are valid for one year from the date of issue, unless a 7-day or day Non-Resident License is purchased. All licenses will be emailed to the purchaser's email address. License Retrieval: Should you lose your license, simply use the "Retrieve My Licenses" option on the homepage.
