The newest update for Poser 12 contains a host of improvements and bug fixes, including improvements to general speed, animation, the Python API and more, according to Bondware Inc. Poser The biggest changes improve the speed of Poser by fixing slow-downs related to Windows Some minor fixes include fixes to the Japanese and German keyboard localizations as well as properly loads default translations for those users.
Significant effort went into ensuring that Poser support the UNC file paths used to access these devices," Choate said. We did this by fully supporting UNC paths for content folders.
This allows Windows 10 to write to libraries, runtimes or locations specified by UNC. The new release has many changes to help improve the speed of Poser Significant work went into improving Poser performance in this release, including adapting to Windows 10 changes that slowed performance for graphics applications. For example, there are many user interface changes that address slow-downs with Windows We've also helped speed by increasing the default max size for texture cache from MB to 1 GB on new installs.
If you have existing settings, you have to change those manually. Here's how to do that. In addition to supporting more GPU hardware, Cycles can cut render times down from hours to minutes. In a recent performance test, Poser 12 rendered the image below in 27 minutes using only the CPU. Based on Blender's Cycles 1. Accurately rendering light the way it behaves in the real world makes it easier to produce hyper-realistic renders.
Existing Poser users can choose to use the same familiar materials as for FireFly, or take full advantage of the SuperFly material system, by building Cycles or physically based shaders.
The original implementation of SuperFly didn't include shadow catching and background transparency. These important features have been added to the new SuperFly. SuperFly allows for GPU-assisted rendering, which creates faster renders.
With three GPU rendering modes, users will be able to harness the power of their hardware regardless of type when using SuperFly. This means users can tap into their inspiration to create more art, faster with more realism and better results.
The updates to SuperFly include support for OptiX hardware-based raytracing, which can produce even more significant performance gains in render speed with Nvidia hardware. This feature automatically adjusts the render sampling based on image noise. This allows the render to automatically focus on noisy areas that need more rendering samples. Poser Pro has stopped working on my PC since the update, the program won't even start. Poser 11 Pro is working fine, but that is irritating as running 2 instances of Poser was helpful for animations.
EDIT: Squeaky wheel! Poser 11 PRO is all quiet and doesn't leave any "beep". Is there any logfile or something else with further information why Poser 11 doesn't start without any error-message? I have checked the firewall settings. Poser 11 isn't blocked. Yes Poser works again after the latest patch and so do other software which were affected incredimail for one.
I did not reinstall the KB but only the KB update. Poser Pro 11 was never affected by this update and thus the troubles that you, kruse, are having must come from somewhere else.
Maybe you should install it unto a different drive or location and then launch it from within that directory. Run the Poser exe directly from the directory and not from a thumbnail once installed. Also make sure you install the latest version as there has been an update since release.
I know it sounds all a bit lousy but maybe worth a try. I also vaguely remember having had issues with an update concerning the preferredstate. Did you set a preferred state or are you always launching with Andy? When you uninstall Poser, it never goes completely off your system and those remnants could cause issues, especially if on launch it calls up old memory and can't find what it is looking for. When you re-install I suggest overwriting your preferences when applying SR1.
Levanah posted at AM Thu, 07 January - I'm sure; this isn't the right thread for my problem and I have to start deeper investigations on this issue.
I have already tried all what you suggested with no success. I'm going to try this "Andy-thing" and hope for a better result. Fortunately I can use Poser until my problem is solved. OK, sorry it didn't work out and I sure hope you can find a solution for the problem Let me know if you crack it as I would be interested I confirm, Poser Pro works again after the latest update on my Windows I didn't do anything just waited for the update. Do I need to uninstall and reinstall Poser 10 again?
Or must I change to Poser 11? Or what? Try 1st to rename the Poser. Jules posted at AM Fri, 08 January - I have just tried both and the fault still comes. I have now renamed these files back to their old names. I have just done that, and then I closed my computer down and restarted it, then I called Poser And the Poser 10 crash-out bug duly came back.
Is there any point me uninstalling and reinstalling my Adobe Flash? If so, where can I get an up-to-date valid copy of it from, and how to install it? I have Windows 10 Home. Levanah posted at PM Fri, 08 January - Thanks God, Poser 11 is running again. Then I was asked to enter the serialnumber and Poser is opening again.
Yesterday, Poser 10 crashed at loading time on Window 10 OS. Thank you, I will try the solutions proposed in this thead.
Please is there any date estimate of when a correct proper update or patch for Adobe Flash will come??? That thread was advice in the file Poser. I find this helpful.
